BACKGROUND
My uncle regularly sells coins at auctions. Unfortunately, this involves creating lists of the coins being sold and it is not uncommon to have a list of 100 coins or more each week. Creating such a list is extremely time consuming for someone who types very slowly, so I decided to make a program which would make it relatively easy to generate a list of coins.
Originally, I planned for the Coin List Assistant, then referred to as the Coin List Generator, to store a list of all the coins entered into it so that it could export the entire list into a Word document, which my uncle is comfortable with. However, I constantly ran into issues working with the Word document format, such as the format considering itself corrupted because I changed the word "Coin" to "Coim" in an existing document. So the feature to export a complete list into Word was removed in favor of an option to copy a single coin into the clipboard which could then be pasted inside a document currently open in Word.
The rest of the program was designed to reflect the nature of coins. Sometimes there are multiple coins with the same name but different face values, sometimes my uncle may go years without seeing a certain kind of coin then suddenly get one to put in an auction, and certain components like the grade and face value only have so many options regardless of the year and description. So each property can be modified individually and the user can easily add new values the program has never heard of before.

FEATURES
- Provides a way for the user to enter a coin's year, grade, description, and face value - each property is optional
- Allows user to copy coin information to clipboard and keep it for later use for situations where subsequent coins are related to each other
- Allows user to enter new properties if the necessary information does not already exist in the program. The new property is then sorted and saved for future use.
- Coin information is copied with tabs so that it is easily placed into a properly formatted Word document
